In December, we were delighted to see not one, but three gymnasts! The picture book Nikolaj the Gymnast Chases Away the Wicked Thief, written by Klarisa Jovanović and illustrated by Štefan Turk, was the first picture book by a Slovenian author published by Malinc Publishing House. It is also the first book that will entertain Macedonian and Spanish speaking children with its humour and skillfully written verse.
The book was translated into Macedonian by Ivanka Apostolova Baskar and in Spanish by Juan Kruz Igerabide and Barbara Pregelj.
The translation is a part of the European project Paths to the EU Bibliodiversity. The publication was funded by the European Comission.
